How to buy a good hookah? Part 5
Bottom part
Bottom part, alias flask, alias vase and so on - it is the base of hookah. Usually this part of hookah is made either of glass or of metal.
Glass made flask breaks but through it is seen level of water. In this case color does matter. Dark blue glass is almost non-transparent, through it water is seen quite well, but in return blue color combines well with "gold" and with chrome-plate top. Green glass is "the golden mean". And water can be seen and it looks good. Also there are red flasks, brownish, blue and of other colors. Many of them look quite well and water through them is seen considerably better. Also there are absolutely transparent flasks - namely in such flasks can be observed bubble heaps that burst out through water layer. They are usually cheaper, namely such flasks have 99% of professional smokers in Egypt. Last variant of glass flasks are absolutely non-transparent but simply fully adorned with pattern. It will suit those for whom external beauty of hookah is not less important than quality of smoking.
There are also metal bottom parts. It is not so comfortable to control level of water in them but in return they don't break. What should we pay attention to? If there is opportunity, check the quality of soldering of the bottom part, pouring water inside of it. Also exists leakiness that is caused by low-quality coining when with coining punch out the metal out-and-out.
Obligatory assemble the hookah in presence of the Seller. Top and bottom parts must be assembled hermetically. Glass-metal hookahs in place of joining are sealed with rubber ring, it mustn't be chapped. The top part should be inserted with some effort, not to creep and not to dangle. In entirely metal hookahs the joining is usually tread. Just try once to screw-unscrew hookah.
